GENERATION SPECIAL:

The KNGA has decided to run a special on registrations on parent proven horses, in order to encourage the registration of offspring’s.  The association’s goal is to preserve this horse through the means of DNA testing and to become an established breed.  University of Kentucky reports that 5 generations of DNA testing is necessary to have the sample size necessary to become a breed.  We are well on our way of meeting this goal but there are numerous horses out there that could be registered as parent proven.  To be considered for parent proven a horse must have at least one parent registered with the KNGA and DNA testing conducted.

So to encourage these registrations we are running a special on reduced registration fees for parent proven horses.  The cost will be as follows:

Second generation parent proven registration:  $60.00
Third generation parent proven:  $55.00
Fourth generation  parent proven:  $50.00
Fifth generation parent proven:  $45.00

The registration fee for non-parent proven horses remains the same - $75.00 for mares and stallions, and $40 for geldings.
